We built PopHatch because we needed it
…and because we think the world needs it. And, honestly, because even though it’d be a lot easier to go get a “real job” (thanks, mom), we couldn’t not build it.
We’re building for the future leaders of their communities who aren’t happy playing the 9-5 game anymore, or ever. Who understand that the world is breaking anyway, and who see the opportunity in the breaking. There are so many tools to build with today. To build the thing you know people need. But, what happens after you build it, what happens when it’s launched and nobody joins, or they join but aren’t doing the things that matter. The question for most of us right now is, how do I find Product Market Fit? How do I find my users, build for them, and evolve with them without expensive support systems, or giving half my company away?
Over the decades we’ve spent building products that have scaled from zero to reach hundreds of millions of people (at Reddit, at Universal Music, at Warner Music, at BlackRock), we’ve wasted years of our time with reactive AIs that constantly change their mind, platforms that execute but can’t help us figure out what to execute, overpriced agencies and consultants with 100-page briefs, and teams of engineers and marketers.
We were successful despite all of those things, not because of them. And we were successful because we put a system in place that helped us remember, that helped us hold all of the moving parts in one place, that helped us plan our next move, test things out when we were stuck, and put together signals in all of the noise. We put that system into a platform and called it PopHatch.
This is just the beginning. There’s a whole world we’re building inside. We’re glad you’re here.
